Piscada and CageEye Introduce New Functionality for Feeding Optimization
Piscada, in collaboration with CageEye, is launching new functionality in Piscada’s feeding software. These features provide detailed information for positioning cameras and other equipment in fish pens, enabling operators to adapt feeding strategies in real time based on new data.

Enhanced Functionality for Aquaculture Operations
For years, Piscada has delivered video and feeding software solutions to the aquaculture industry, initially distributed via AKVA Group (AKVA Connect 2). Recently, Piscada has focused on solutions for feeding control centers and growth centers, now serving a large number of daily users of its feeding platform.
CageEye develops advanced echo-sounder technology for the aquaculture sector, offering 24/7 monitoring of fish behavior regardless of light or visibility conditions. This provides complete insight into fish position and activity, enabling welfare monitoring and precision feeding.
Key Features of the Integration:
• Camera Positioning: Ensure the camera is correctly placed relative to the fish, showing the depth and areas with the highest fish concentration in the feeding zone.
• Merd Profile Insights: Display a profile of the pen to optimize the placement of equipment like biomass cameras or lice lasers.
• Feeding Intensity Feedback: Color-coded feedback indicating whether activity in the feeding zone is increasing or decreasing based on fish behavior.
• Activity Graphs: Historical activity visualization within the feeding zone throughout the meal.
• Pellet Detection Integration: Combine with Piscada’s pellet detection for even more detailed feeding insights.
Through this collaboration, Piscada and CageEye provide operators with unprecedented real-time data on fish behavior, enabling precise adjustments to feeding strategies.
